Reported HIV Cases (Cumulative)

County: Harris
Measurement Period: Q4 2019
This indicator measures the cumulative number of reported AIDS cases at time and place of diagnosis.

Why is this important?

Knowing the number of reported AIDS cases is important because it helps to monitor the rate of infection. Knowing the number of people living with AIDS will help correlate how many new cases occur among the population and will help infected individuals make behavior changes to improve their own health and prevent the spread of AIDS to partners.
